Tax Manager (Hybrid)

The YCC Tax Team needs a person with current tax preparation experience (5+ years) within a public accounting firm who can work collaboratively and multi-task. Review experience a plus. As a small firm, under 30 people, the person should be a self-starter and client oriented. Give yourself a chance to show what you are capable of accomplishing. We have a hybrid work model and are open to this position being full-time remote.

Essential Job Functions include but not limited to:

  • Review of individual and entity tax returns.
  • Preparation of complicated tax returns.
  • Provide productive feedback to staff and assist with training
  • Build relationships with existing clients and develop new ones
  • Assist partners with firm operational decisions and staff development

Office Coordinator

The Office Coordinator position performs day-to-day administration functions along with supporting office staff and partners. This position is responsible to create and maintain a pleasant work environment and oversee the office activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for and assist with daily operational functions of the Firm
  • Provide client service: greeting clients, answering phones, mailing and scheduling appointments
  • Assemble tax return, e-file, distribute and track documents
  • Organize and coordinate office administration and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, and efficiency
  • Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
  • Able to handle a wide range of administrative duties and collaborate with administrative and professional staff
  • Controls office workflow to regulate and maintained a balanced workload for administrative staff
  • Manage client data bases with CCH Practice Management and Canopy Tax to produce client organizers and engagement letters
  • This person will be responsible for the due date tracking and assisting with extensions as needed

Experience, and Skills Required:

  1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  2. Ability to multi-task and be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  3. Previous work experience with CPA firm, tax experience is A PLUS but NOT required
  4. Be willing to learn, use and manage various software and on-line programs operated by the Firm.
  5. Experience with Canopy Tax and/or CCH Practice Management is A PLUS but NOT required

Audit Staff

We are currently seeking a dedicated, ambitious audit professional with recent audit experience at a public accounting firm to manage small business audit engagements including scheduling, budgeting and planning. You will maintain professional client relationships; prepare financial statements, compilations and reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for audit program approval
  • Audit working papers review
  • Financial statement disclosure footnote approval
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients
  • Manage client relationship including writing proposals and billings for engagements

Experience, and Skills Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
